Lego Reduced incl. Ninjago and Star Wars - Sainsburys, Bolton

Sainsburys still have lego reduced to clear. On a quick visit to Sainsburys in Bolton just before lunchtime, these were the ones that caught my eye.

Star Wars Microfighters Homing Spider Droid (75077) now £4.05 reduced from £8.99. Better than half price!

Ninjago Cole's Blaster Bike (70733) now £12 instead of £18.

Ninjago Lava Falls (70753) now £5.27 instead of £7.99.

Star Wars buildable Obi-Wan Kenobi (75109) figure for £13.19. Although I have seen him reduced in other shops recently.

And one for younger Lego builders, this Lego Juniors Pirate Treasure Hunt (10679) now £6.59 reduced from £9.99.

As well as Lego, they also had other Star Wars items reduced to clear like this Force Awakens plush. Now half price at £7.50. I'm not familiar with these and haven't checked if they're cheaper elsewhere.

All of these would make great gifts if you've got any children's birthday parties coming up.

(Please note these were spotted in Sainsburys, Bolton today and may not be available at other stores.)

Please leave a comment if you've seen these offers in a store near you.

Today's Toy Bargains at Home Bargains, Farnworth, Bolton

On a quick trip to Farnworth, Bolton, this morning, I popped in to Home Bargains. There were a few things that caught my eye.

First were these Sesame Street, Furchester Hotel Elmo and Cookie Monster plush toys, only £1.99 each! For such popular characters I thought this was a great buy. Cookie Monster and Elmo have always been a favourite of young children and I can't see that changing anytime soon!

They also had some Furchester Hotel bath toys for £2.99.

Also in Home Bargains were some Collector Barbies. Although aimed at older children or the adult collector and kept on display, at these prices I'd be happy for my children to play with them.

They had 2014 Holiday Barbie in a beautiful red dress for £9.99, rrp £39.99. And a Black Label Divergent Tris Barbie for £6.99.

(Please note these were spotted in Home Bargains, Farnworth, Bolton and may not be available at other stores.)

Lego Star Wars Microfighters reduced at ASDA, Swinton - and other Lego offers!

Today I popped into ASDA in Swinton, Greater Manchester, to pick up some school trousers that I'd ordered for my son via click and collect. For anyone who's wondered what ASDA school uniform is like I can recommend it. Well, at least the little boys trousers! They fit well and wash well, and considering how often they're worn and what they must go through in an average day of a five year old, for £3-£3.50, they wear very well!

Whilst in there I had a little look down the toy aisle and at a great price were the Lego Star Wars Series 2 Microfighters. Each set seemed to be priced differently and the prices ranged from £5 to £6.73. Normally these are around £8 or £9.

The Snowspeeder (75074) was the cheapest at £5 but out of the series 2 sets, this is one of my favourites! I think these are a great buy if you are going to any boy's birthday parties. Or a bargain Valentine's gift if your other half likes Star Wars. There might be more deals coming soon on these as series 3 will be out soon but at £5 these seem a good buy.

Once again, if you're buying these for your children keep the box and instructions as they're sure to retain some value if you ever want to sell them in the future.

Also in ASDA were these Lego Star Wars buildable Obi-Wan Kenobi figures for £ 12 reduced from £ 15.97. These don't appeal to me as much as the microfighters but thought they were still worth a mention.

Across the way at Home Bargains they had Lego luggage tags in various colours for 99p. These are great if you are planning a Lego themed birthday party soon. They could make great game prizes or you could even use them as party bag fillers.

Toys R Us Great Buys - Lego, Frozen and Bambi's Thumpin Thumper

This morning I had a littl browse of Toys R Us' website and I came across these deals that caught my eye.

Lego Movie Cloud Cuckoo Palace (70803) now £12.99 instead of £19.99. - This is now listed as retired on the Lego shop website so could be a last chance to buy. It's for sale at Tesco £18 and Amazon £19.99.

There's also another Lego Movie set on offer in Toys R Us, Super Cycle Chase (70808) now £34.99 instead of £44.99. But this one is also currently available at John Lewis for the same discounted price, and The Entertainer for £35.99.

Another item that got my attention was Disney Bambi's Thumpin' Thumper, now just £4.99, previously £9.99. This seems very reasonable and is adorable! This could make a lovely Easter gift if you are looking for an alternative to chocolate!

Finally, one Toys R Us has listed as an exclusive to them, Disney Frozen 6" Anna and Kristoff Toddler Doll Pack now £7.99, was £14.99, then £11.99. There were quite a few other Frozen items on offer so worth having a look if there's a Frozen fan in your family.

There were also some discounts on Lego Jurassic World computer games, but I haven't checked if they are cheaper elsewhere.

Most were listed as available in store as well as click and collect to avoid the delivery charge on orders under £29.99. These were all found listed under Toys R Us winter sale on their website.

If you do go in store and the price on the item is more expensive, let them know at the till and they should price match it to their online price.

Furchester Hotel Isabel, £4 in TK Maxx

My son's not back at school until later in the week so on a little trip to Middlebrook retail park in Bolton we popped in to a couple of shops as he had a little bit of money given to him at Christmas. As it turned out there was nothing that caught his eye!

However, whilst in TK Maxx,  I spotted this cute little Isabel toy from CBBC's Sesame Street Furchester Hotel. It was on a table near the doors and reduced to £4. Not sure what they were originally sold at in TK Maxx as the sticker was covered up, but after a quick Google I saw it was £9.99 in Argos (delivery only) and that was pretty much the cheapest.

Not sure if they'll be available at all TK Maxx's as it probably be dependent on stock levels after Christmas, but there were a couple left a Middlebrook.

I had to pick one up as I think they are adorable and will put aside for my daughter's birthday later on in the year.

Lego Minifigures Series 14 Monsters £1.49 at Argos

Lego is really popular in our house, we are slowly becoming overrun with plastic bricks! But even more than the bricks and sets my son loves the little lego figures. The blind bag minifigures being no exception!

I'm becoming quite fond of them too however they're not something I ever really want to pay full price for, especially as if you buy the blind bags you're never really sure what you are getting!

Sometimes if you have a really good feel of the bags and there's something distinctive about the character you might get lucky and have an inkling as to what you're getting.

The Monster characters have been really popular for us and I popped a couple of series 14 packets in my son's Christmas stocking and he was delighted with them on Christmas morning.

Argos are currently selling them for £1.49 instead of £2.49 which is quite a good buy. These will be retiring soon as series 15 is due to hit the shops any day, which is probably why they are selling them at a reduced price. I would think other retailers will follow suit, and I will be keeping an eye out, but I'll be picking a few up from Argos to put away as treats for my boy!

One thing I think is worth doing is keeping the little packets (cut them open carefully) as well as the leaflet insert. This way if you get duplicates you can always swap them with friends or list them on ebay. Or if in the future you, or your children, want to sell them the original packaging shows that they are authentic. As they're sold for a relatively short period of time they may become a future collectable.

If you find them cheaper, leave me a comment to let me know.
