Ninjago Sensei Wu's Dragon Only £17.50 at Sainsburys, Leigh - and other offers

For any Ninjago fans (or mums of Ninjago fans!), Lego set 70734, Sensei Wu's Dragon has been reduced at Sainsburys, Leigh, even further from the reasonable price of £23.32 to now just £17.50. They only had a couple left and I don't think they'll be around for long!

My son's been desperate for this set for a while and I nearly bought it for him at Christmas before deciding it may be a little too complex and delicate for him to play with (he's only 5). But at this price it's hard to resist!

Other items reduced to clear included Lego Star Wars buildable Obi-Wan Kenobi (75109) now reduced to £10.

Lego Juniors Beach Trip (10677) reduced from £10 to £5.

Duplo My First Bus reduced to £6.50 from £12.99.

And also some Hero Mashers on offer.

(Please note these were spotted in Sainsburys, Leigh today and may not be available at other stores.)

Please leave a comment if you've seen the same offer or better at other stores.

3 for 2 on Toys at Boots, Includes Lego, Barbie, Playmobil etc.

This afternoon I called into the Trafford Centre, Manchester for a quick browse. Didn't see much in the sales as they are now starting to finish but one offer that did catch my eye was in Boots. 3 for 2 on toys.

Boots prices can be more expensive than other shops but don't forget if you have an Advantage Card you can collect a good rate of points that can be redeemed against future purchases. And...if you have a Boots Advantage Card and a smartphone, download their app from the app store and get even more offers and coupons!

For example I used one today which was '£5 off your next shop over £20'. So an even better buy when combined with the 3 for 2! The vouchers on the app can only be used in store and not online. But the 3 for 2 offer on toys is also online.

If you are a Parenting Club member you also get extra points if you are buying baby toys. Think they also were doing a promotion for Parenting Club members, 10 points per pound on luxury beauty products too if you're interested. Not sure when available until or if only in store, I just thought I was worth a mention.

For anyone who doesn't often shop at Boots, some of the larger stores stock brands like Lego, Playmobil, My Little Pony, Barbie as well as baby and toddler brands such as Vtech and Fisher Price. There's not a lot of choice but could be worth a look.

For example their small range of Lego Star Wars.

I love my Advantage Card and often save my points up to use on the 3 for 2 gifts and toys at Christmas time.

Another card scheme which I'm starting to like more and more is the 'My John Lewis' card. Which sends you vouchers for a free hot drink and cake. Just lovely on a busy shopping day!

Lego Reduced incl. Ninjago and Star Wars - Sainsburys, Bolton

Sainsburys still have lego reduced to clear. On a quick visit to Sainsburys in Bolton just before lunchtime, these were the ones that caught my eye.

Star Wars Microfighters Homing Spider Droid (75077) now £4.05 reduced from £8.99. Better than half price!

Ninjago Cole's Blaster Bike (70733) now £12 instead of £18.

Ninjago Lava Falls (70753) now £5.27 instead of £7.99.

Star Wars buildable Obi-Wan Kenobi (75109) figure for £13.19. Although I have seen him reduced in other shops recently.

And one for younger Lego builders, this Lego Juniors Pirate Treasure Hunt (10679) now £6.59 reduced from £9.99.

As well as Lego, they also had other Star Wars items reduced to clear like this Force Awakens plush. Now half price at £7.50. I'm not familiar with these and haven't checked if they're cheaper elsewhere.

All of these would make great gifts if you've got any children's birthday parties coming up.

(Please note these were spotted in Sainsburys, Bolton today and may not be available at other stores.)

Please leave a comment if you've seen these offers in a store near you.

£1 Annuals incl. Star Wars, Minecraft & My Little Pony at Asda, Leigh

My final stop today was at Asda in Leigh. I think I may have found the gift I was looking for with this Lego Creator Go Cart, £5.83 reduced from £9.99. Although I'm still tempted by the Scooby Doo set mentioned in the previous post!
While I was in there I noticed they still had some 2016 Annuals that they were selling off. All now just £1 and included Star Wars, Minecraft and My Little Pony. (Not pictured, they also had Turtles, Peppa Pig and I think a football one.)
A couple of other toys worth a mention was this little Lego City set 60126 for £3.23. Great for a pocket money toy.
And this Barbie Style doll, half price at £9.49.
(Please note these were spotted in Asda, Leigh and may not be available at other stores.)

Lego, Barbie and Monster High Dolls Reduced at Sainsburys, Leigh

I also popped in to Sainsburys, Leigh, for a few groceries and still on my quest for the perfect (and great bargain!) birthday present I had a look at the toys.
They had more Lego reduced to clear and included some popular sets. Even had my eye on a couple to buy as the gift I was looking for. One being the Scooby Doo Mystery Plane Adventure, 75901. £14.99 reduced from £19.99. Next best price I could find was £15.99 at Argos, but still full price in most shops. If my son hadn't already got it I probably would have picked one up for him and put it away for a present.
They had also reduced Star Wars Series 2 Microfighter 75073 Vulture Droid to £6.74. They must be making way for series 3 arriving in shops soon!
They also had some Lego City reduced to clear...
Lego Friends were also on offer...
They had 2 pack Monsters High dolls for just £5.75! I have seen the same ones for the same discounted price at Sainsburys, Bolton too.
Barbie was also being sold off too, with this Rockin Royals doll for £11.50.
And, not forgetting...albeit a little randomly... some really cheap children's penguin costumes if anyone needs one! Now just £2!
(Please note these were spotted in Sainsburys, Leigh and may not be available at other stores.)

Lego Shop Manchester Sale Items and Frozen Olaf Set Free Gift

I won't only be posting about Lego offers, I promise! I just happen to have come across quite a few good buys recently that I think other people may also be interested in.

Today I went to Manchester city centre and had to call into the Lego shop in the Arndale to pick up a Lego Architecture set for a birthday present. I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else and as I need it for the weekend I didn't have much time to shop around.

Although the set I went to buy wasn't on offer, there was an offer across the store (and also on-line) of a free Lego Disney Princess Olaf beach island polybag set (30397) if you spend over £25.

Once again, they did have a small amount of Lego Chima sets that they were selling off like this 70227 King Crominus' Rescue for £48.99 instead of £69.99.

Chima keyrings were also on the sale display. £2.09 reduced from £ 2.99.

Also in the Arndale, but this time at the Entertainer toy shop, they had Lego Movie Batman and Super Angry Kitty Attack for £9 (was £12).

(Please note that these were spotted at shops in Arndale Centre, Manchester and may not be available at other stores. )

More Lego on Sale - Toys R Us, Bolton

Following on from yesterday's Lego offers  there were a couple to be found in Toys R Us, Bolton today.

There were a couple of Lego Chima sets on offer. I think this theme is being retired soon so shops could be selling off what they have left.

Chima Eris' Fire Eagle Flyer 70142, now £19.99 instead of £29.99, but only a couple left on the shelf.

There were also Lego Chima Crocodile Tribe Pack 70231 reduced to £5.99 but these are also available on Amazon at the same price.

They also had small Lego storage heads half price, £4.99 reduced from £9.99. Currently £7.98 on Amazon.

Please note that these were spotted in Toys R Us, Bolton and may not be available at other stores.

Trafford Centre - A Couple of Lego Offers

Today was my first trip to the Trafford Centre in 2016. For a self confessed shopaholic, it's a dangerous place to live near, but it's a great place to go shopping even if it's just of the window variety! With my New Year's resolve to save money I managed to show great restraint and only bought the book that I went for :).

I did still have a good browse though and apart from the perfume gift sets mentioned in the previous post there wasn't much to take my eye...except for a couple of Lego offers. (As you probably know by now, I have a great affection for Lego, especially if it's reduced!)

The first one were these Lego Simpsons series 2 Minifigures. £1.40 reduced to clear at John Lewis. Normally £2.49.

I also came across these Lego LED brick lights in Hamleys. £7 reduced from £11. I did do a quick online search to compare the price of these but couldn't find them apart from Ebay. Maybe they are discontinued old stock, but if anyone is looking for one, Hamleys, Trafford Centre had plenty.

Lastly in the Legoland shop over at Barton Square, they had Lego Turtles keyrings for £1.85. (£2.99 on Lego shop website.) They had all four turtle figures available.

And Lego Castle figure packs for £6.75. (£10.99 on Lego shop website.)

Please note these were spotted at shops in Trafford Centre, Manchester and may not be available at other stores.

Lego Ninjago and Minecraft Reduced at Sainsburys, Leigh

On my way home this evening, I called in to Sainsburys in Leigh. It's something I often do on a Friday usually for a start to the weekend bottle of Pinot Grigio!

I can never resist a little look at the toy aisles and although they were rather bare there were still some good offers on Lego.
My son loves Ninjago, so this 70734  Master Wu Dragon set at £23.33 (instead of £34.99) really caught my attention. It was marked reduced to clear. When I checked on Amazon it was £29.97.

There was also a Lego Minecraft set, The Snow Hideout Playset - 21120 for £26.66 (instead £39.99). £29.99 on Amazon and Argos.

There were a couple of other offers on Lego City and Creator.

And one which I missed out on! Gutted!...

(Please note these were spotted in Sainsburys, Leigh and may not be available at other stores.)

Lego Star Wars Microfighters reduced at ASDA, Swinton - and other Lego offers!

Today I popped into ASDA in Swinton, Greater Manchester, to pick up some school trousers that I'd ordered for my son via click and collect. For anyone who's wondered what ASDA school uniform is like I can recommend it. Well, at least the little boys trousers! They fit well and wash well, and considering how often they're worn and what they must go through in an average day of a five year old, for £3-£3.50, they wear very well!

Whilst in there I had a little look down the toy aisle and at a great price were the Lego Star Wars Series 2 Microfighters. Each set seemed to be priced differently and the prices ranged from £5 to £6.73. Normally these are around £8 or £9.

The Snowspeeder (75074) was the cheapest at £5 but out of the series 2 sets, this is one of my favourites! I think these are a great buy if you are going to any boy's birthday parties. Or a bargain Valentine's gift if your other half likes Star Wars. There might be more deals coming soon on these as series 3 will be out soon but at £5 these seem a good buy.

Once again, if you're buying these for your children keep the box and instructions as they're sure to retain some value if you ever want to sell them in the future.

Also in ASDA were these Lego Star Wars buildable Obi-Wan Kenobi figures for £ 12 reduced from £ 15.97. These don't appeal to me as much as the microfighters but thought they were still worth a mention.

Across the way at Home Bargains they had Lego luggage tags in various colours for 99p. These are great if you are planning a Lego themed birthday party soon. They could make great game prizes or you could even use them as party bag fillers.

Toys R Us Great Buys - Lego, Frozen and Bambi's Thumpin Thumper

This morning I had a littl browse of Toys R Us' website and I came across these deals that caught my eye.

Lego Movie Cloud Cuckoo Palace (70803) now £12.99 instead of £19.99. - This is now listed as retired on the Lego shop website so could be a last chance to buy. It's for sale at Tesco £18 and Amazon £19.99.

There's also another Lego Movie set on offer in Toys R Us, Super Cycle Chase (70808) now £34.99 instead of £44.99. But this one is also currently available at John Lewis for the same discounted price, and The Entertainer for £35.99.

Another item that got my attention was Disney Bambi's Thumpin' Thumper, now just £4.99, previously £9.99. This seems very reasonable and is adorable! This could make a lovely Easter gift if you are looking for an alternative to chocolate!

Finally, one Toys R Us has listed as an exclusive to them, Disney Frozen 6" Anna and Kristoff Toddler Doll Pack now £7.99, was £14.99, then £11.99. There were quite a few other Frozen items on offer so worth having a look if there's a Frozen fan in your family.

There were also some discounts on Lego Jurassic World computer games, but I haven't checked if they are cheaper elsewhere.

Most were listed as available in store as well as click and collect to avoid the delivery charge on orders under £29.99. These were all found listed under Toys R Us winter sale on their website.

If you do go in store and the price on the item is more expensive, let them know at the till and they should price match it to their online price.

Lego Minifigures Series 14 Monsters £1.49 at Argos

Lego is really popular in our house, we are slowly becoming overrun with plastic bricks! But even more than the bricks and sets my son loves the little lego figures. The blind bag minifigures being no exception!

I'm becoming quite fond of them too however they're not something I ever really want to pay full price for, especially as if you buy the blind bags you're never really sure what you are getting!

Sometimes if you have a really good feel of the bags and there's something distinctive about the character you might get lucky and have an inkling as to what you're getting.

The Monster characters have been really popular for us and I popped a couple of series 14 packets in my son's Christmas stocking and he was delighted with them on Christmas morning.

Argos are currently selling them for £1.49 instead of £2.49 which is quite a good buy. These will be retiring soon as series 15 is due to hit the shops any day, which is probably why they are selling them at a reduced price. I would think other retailers will follow suit, and I will be keeping an eye out, but I'll be picking a few up from Argos to put away as treats for my boy!

One thing I think is worth doing is keeping the little packets (cut them open carefully) as well as the leaflet insert. This way if you get duplicates you can always swap them with friends or list them on ebay. Or if in the future you, or your children, want to sell them the original packaging shows that they are authentic. As they're sold for a relatively short period of time they may become a future collectable.

If you find them cheaper, leave me a comment to let me know.
